The Dream Project is a nonprofit organization that since 1999 has been committed to providing equitable access to quality education for children born into poverty in rural areas and small communities of the Dominican Republic, fulfilling its mission by:

• Building classrooms, computer labs, libraries, science labs, and sport recreation areas;
• Providing Dominican and international volunteers to teach in classrooms, libraries, and laboratories;
• Organizing and operating summer camps, youth groups, preschools, and teacher training facilities;
• Securing books, school supplies, and educational materials for the classrooms;
• Working in partnership with the Dominican Government, the United Nations, the U.S. Peace Corps, non-governmental organizations, universities, and high schools throughout the world.

Guzman Ariza Campamento de Verano, Dream ProjectSince 2004, Guzmán Ariza has sponsored the “Dream Guzman Ariza Summer Camp”, where every year more than 150 poor Dominican children are able to attend a summer program comparable to that of a firstworld summer camp, under the guidance of a staff of American, Canadian and Dominican volunteers. The program is designed to keep in school at-risk children and adolescents, aged 10-17, offering them individualized academic tutoring, extracurricular activities, and alternative sources of education that instill life and job skills.
