The Dominican government unveiled a Master Plan for the Tourism Development in the province of Pedernales and announced that the bidding process for real estate projects will begin between March and April, highlighting the interest of attracting international investors to take part in the development of this destination.
The main components of the proposed development plan include road construction, airport expansion, water infrastructure, solar power plant development and conditioning of the Cabo Rojo dock, among others. The mixed public and private sector project will have an investment from the Dominican government of $ 67.5 million USD.
This project aims to develop an ecotourism friendly destination, in strict compliance with the country’s environmental legislation.
